After years working on every side of the fit-out projects, our founder Paul Trevallion saw a huge problem with how the industry worked – no one was focused entirely on protecting or advocating for the retail clients. In 2019, Paul established Retail Connection as a way to even the scales for retailers in what is an undeniably complex industry.

It wasn’t just about making the fit-out journey more cost-effective – it was also a way to make the process easier, smoother, and faster for everyone involved.

Since then, we have partnered with some of the most recognised international names in retail to establish store locations across New Zealand and Australia. We focus on minimising stress and maximising returns for clients from Day One.

Paul Trevallion, founder of Retail Connection, has become a leading voice in the New Zealand and Australian retail and hospitality fit-out industry. He advocates for better client experiences and more effective fit-out projects for everyone involved.

“I started Retail Connection to cut through all the complex, confusing aspects of the fit-out journey. I wanted to make a big difference for brands creating new store locations in New Zealand and Australia. Our goal is simpler, smoother, and far less expensive processes from start to finish,” explains Paul.

A former shopfitter, project manager, and store development manager, Paul combines over 25 years of experience working within and alongside national retail brands. Paul is known for his calmness under pressure, his organised approach to problem solving, and his positive outlook on life. Since 2019, he has grown Retail Connection from a one-man operation into a thriving project specialist collective with an international portfolio.

Paul’s expertise has brought him to projects around the world, from helping establish international brands in the Australian market to volunteering in Papua New Guinea. In his free time, Paul is an avid skier and loves trying new winter sports including skeleton and bobsleighing.
